Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize Snowflake data solutions for enterprise analytics and reporting in a federal-friendly environment. You will develop scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpark, plus advanced SQL, UDFs, and reusable data transformations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; adjudication required prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• FIVE (5) or more years of data engineering experience, including TWO (2) years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Experience in SQL development with complex queries against large datasets.
• Experience developing and maintaining stored procedures, UDFs, views, and data transformation logic.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, including warehouses, micro-partitions, clustering, caching and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake-native capabilities: Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, CDC patterns.
• Experience administering secure, scalable Snowflake environments with RBAC and governance.
• Experience building scalable ELT/ETL frameworks and enterprise data pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with production support, observability, incident management, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data solutions for enterprise analytics and reporting.
• Build scalable batch and near real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Snowpark).
• Develop advanced SQL-based solutions including stored procedures, UDFs, views, and reusable data transformations.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade ELT/ETL pipelines and metadata-driven automation.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, scalability, reliability, and cost via tuning and best practices.
• Implement secure, governed data solutions with RBAC, data sharing, and governance controls.
• Design and support enterprise data warehouse, data mart, and lakehouse architectures.
• Integrate data from cloud, on-premises, API, and SaaS sources.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
• Provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Support AI and advanced analytics leveraging Snowflake Cortex and Snowpark.
