Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with complex joins, CTEs, analytic and window functions.
• Hands-on DBT experience with macros, packages and custom materializations.
• Real-world Snowflake experience and warehouse optimization.
• Python experience at an intermediate level or higher.
• Strong data profiling, keys, cardinality, data types, precision, scale, data skew.
• Experience with data quality testing and validation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DBT deployment processes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models and pipelines aligned with business requirements.
• Develop complex DBT models using macros, packages and custom materializations.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical data solutions.
• Identify and resolve Snowflake query and DBT model performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize Snowflake warehouse configurations and query performance.
• Design and implement data quality frameworks and testing strategies.
• Develop reusable DBT packages and macros for team-wide use.
• Review and approve pull requests from junior developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Document architectural decisions and data lineage.
• Collaborate with business, product, QA, and technical teams to ensure delivery.
