Job summary

Slalom is seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead a Snowflake CoE and deliver holistic data platform solutions for clients. You will guide delivery pods, collaborate with data leaders, and mentor teams in architecture and scalable analytics.

Responsibilities include designing complex data delivery patterns, ensuring timely completion, and driving best practices across data engineering, with a business-first lens on outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering experience with at least 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake delivery or development.
• Expertise in hands-on development with cloud data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Advanced object-oriented programming skills (Java, Python).
• Experience with NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Experience with container management systems (Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
• Experience with Big Data Tools/Frameworks: Spark, Hadoop, Presto, Amazon EMR.
• Advanced SQL experience.
• Hands-on experience developing data pipelines: batch and/or streaming.
• Experience with data modeling.
• Experience with AI/ML (SageMaker, Azure ML Studio).
• Experience with streaming data ingestion (Kinesis, Kafka).
• Experience with semantic modeling or visual analytics (Tableau, PowerBI).
• Experience with modern data workflows & orchestration (Airflow, dbt, Dagster).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data solutions using Snowflake and collaborate with the team to leverage its capabilities.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering learning and innovation while driving data management and performance optimization.
• Engage with clients to understand business challenges and deliver Snowflake-enabled solutions aligned with goals.
