Job summary

Alterra's June Mountain resort in June Lake, CA is hiring for a Snow Cat Operations Lead. You will oversee grooming, slope maintenance, equipment, and staffing to ensure safe, efficient mountain operations.

The role requires managing budgets, schedules, and training initiatives, with responsibility for the Snow Cat fleet and reporting tools. Flexible to day, swing, and grave shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of Snow Cat experience.
• 2-3 years of management experience preferred.
• Must be flexible for day, swing, and grave shifts.
• Possession of a commercial driver license with HazMat endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Snow Cat grooming operations on June Mountain.
• Manage Slope Maintenance department staff and equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance of all snow cat machines.
• Schedule Snow Cat Operators.
• Develop and implement a rigorous training program for staff.
• Develop and implement Snow Cat fleet management systems and reporting tools.
• Manage construction projects and coordinate outside contractors.
• Control budget for fuel, wages, and repairs.
