Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII in Houston is seeking an experienced SMT AOI/SPI/X‑Ray Process Engineer to support and improve automated inspection in a high‑mix electronics manufacturing environment. You will develop, debug, optimize, and sustain 2D/3D X‑Ray, SPI and AOI programs, reduce false calls, and drive improvements in FPY, yield and process capability.

This role collaborates with Quality, Manufacturing, NPI, and Production teams to continuously enhance SMT processes and product

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining SPI, AOI, and X-Ray inspection programs.
Proven experience creating, debugging, and optimizing inspection programs in a production environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create, validate, optimize, and maintain SPI, AOI, and 2D/3D X-Ray inspection programs.
Reduce false calls while improving defect detection and inspection coverage.
Support NPI launches, production builds, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Analyze inspection data to drive improvements in FPY, yield, DPMO, and process capability.
Investigate and resolve SMT defects including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support SMT repair and rework activities and validate repair effectiveness using inspection technologies.
Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, NPI, and Production teams to improve SMT processes and product quality.
