Job summary

Serco is seeking a SME Systems Engineer to support classified DoD programs, specializing in aircraft sub-system integration, airworthiness, and electronic warfare at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

The role requires an active TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI and SAP access, a Master’s degree in engineering and 20+ years of DoD experience, plus SAP/SCI experience within the last 5 years. Travel up to 10% CONUS is required.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP, current background investigation within past 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
• Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 20 years relevant DoD experience.
• Minimum 3 years of SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).
• DoD acquisition engineering experience (preferred).
• DAWIA certification in Systems Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Be a Subject Matter Expert in electronic warfare and systems engineering for classified programs.
• Translate operational user requirements into contract system requirements documents.
• Apply systems engineering for hardware/software development, configuration management, data rights, and QA.
• Develop and present technical briefings and engineering strategies/analyses.
• Interface with weapons system contractors, vendors, and Government representatives on engineering activities.
• Assess AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and transition strategies.
• Develop system-of-systems architectures and digital transformation strategies.
• Implement aircraft airworthiness, risk management, and obsolescence tracking processes.
• Evaluate contractor design changes, perform systems analyses and trade-off studies.
• Support all phases of subsystem integration and testing; review test plans and results.
• Assess contractor capabilities in meeting design requirements and specifications.
• Perform technical risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Develop RFP technical documents and conduct evaluations of contractor proposals.
