Perle is seeking expert Slovak transcribers in the United States to convert audio into precise, time-aligned transcripts following our style guide. The work requires linguistic judgment on orthography, speaker attribution, and handling disfluencies and non-speech events.

Projects cover everyday Slovak speech across Western, Central, and Eastern dialects with attention to Czech intelligibility. You will review your work, collaborate with QA, and may receive per-task or per-minute compensation

Qualifications

• Native fluency in Slovak with residence in Slovakia.
• Mastery of current Slovak orthography.
• Ability to distinguish Slovak from Czech in mixed-language audio.
• Strong ear for Western, Central, and Eastern Slovak accents.
• At least two years of professional transcription or linguistics experience.
• Comfortable with web-based annotation platforms and high-speed internet.

Responsabilités

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned text.
• Apply conventions for speaker IDs and disfluencies.
• Make orthographic decisions for dialectal and code-switched speech.
• Flag ambiguous segments and audio quality issues.
• Self-review submissions against Perle's quality bar.
• Collaborate with QA on edge cases and style updates.
