Job summary

Sleep Doctor is seeking a Sr. Scoring Technician (RPSGT or RRT-SDS) for a fully remote role. You will validate automated scoring, perform manual scoring of home sleep studies, and ensure high-quality data before physician review.

The position emphasizes adherence to AASM guidelines, productivity in a fast-paced setting, and collaboration with a remote clinical team. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of sleep study scoring experience, strong knowledge of sleep medicine, and proficiency with scoring

Qualifications

• Current RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential required; state licensure may be required.
• 5–8 years of sleep study scoring experience.
• Experience scoring and quality reviewing sleep studies.
• Strong knowledge of AASM scoring guidelines.
• Experience reviewing automated scoring and applying corrections.
• Attention to detail with high scoring accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume production environment.
• Proficiency with sleep scoring software and EHR systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual review and scoring of home sleep studies per AASM guidelines and company protocols.
• Review automated scoring results and apply clinical judgment to validate and correct sleep staging, respiratory events, desaturations and arousals.
• Ensure scoring accuracy while meeting productivity expectations in a high-volume workflow.
• Identify studies requiring physician review or clinical escalation per established protocols.
• Maintain detailed documentation and quality standards throughout the scoring process.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews, calibration exercises, and scoring consistency initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to support timely study completion and workflow efficiency.
• Stay current with AASM scoring rule updates and evolving sleep medicine standards.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
