Job summary

The City of Fayetteville is seeking three Senior Skilled Trades Technicians to lead and perform advanced maintenance across city facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will plan, train, and supervise staff while handling carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related repairs.

Requirements include two years in building trades and a high school diploma with specialized training; a valid driver’s license is required. Benefits include health, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in one or more of the building maintenance trades.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in a related field.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee staff performing skilled carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related repairs.
• Estimate time, materials and equipment for jobs and requisition supplies.
• Maintain and repair city facilities, equipment, and fixtures to advanced trade standards.
• Install electrical circuits for city equipment and appliances and service systems.
• Perform advanced carpentry, roofing, drywall, doors, windows and flooring work.
• Participate in off-site inspections and event setup as needed.
