Job summary

Balfour Beatty US, a national contractor, is seeking a Superintendent to lead onsite construction activities, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence on heavy civil projects across the Southeastern United States.

Ideal candidate will have 8–15+ years in heavy civil, strong leadership, and solid experience with CPM scheduling, OSHA compliance, and field safety management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction operations and field personnel.
• Coordinate multiple crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources.
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
• Ensure work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitor productivity and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Enforce company and OSHA safety standards.
• Participate in site and crew safety meetings
• Perform weekly jobsite EHS inspections.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Assist the investigation of incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Promote a strong safety culture among all employees and subcontractors.
• Supervise foremen, operators, laborers, and subcontractors.
• Schedule manpower requirements to meet production goals.
• Mentor and develop field personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
