Job summary

Blattner in Minnesota seeks a Senior Site Safety Professional to lead on-site safety programs across active construction projects. You will serve as the primary safety advisor, guiding leadership decisions and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

You will independently manage audits, incident investigations, and training, mentor field teams, and deliver safety reporting to support project success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience
  • Ability to relocate to project site
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Strong working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage site-level safety programs, audits, incident management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Identify patterns of unsafe behavior and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct incident investigations and support root cause analysis
  • Partner with leadership to address complex safety challenges and provide expert guidance
  • Influence site leadership on safety policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Coach and mentor field teams and junior safety staff on hazard identification and prevention
  • Support incident management compliance, including Drug & Alcohol Testing, Medical Treatment, and Return-to-Work programs
  • Conduct audits and prepare reports with findings and recommended corrective actions
  • Support safety communications, including participation in project kickoffs and ongoing site messaging
  • Collect, analyze, and report safety data to support decision-making
  • Prepare safety documentation, reports, and project deliverables
  • Maintain knowledge of safety regulations, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
  • Promote continuous development through training, coaching, and professional growth activities

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Site Safety Professional to lead and implement site-wide safety programs across active construction projects. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
  • Identify patterns of unsafe behavior and implement corrective actions, escalating issues as necessary
  • Conduct incident investigations and support root cause analysis using established processes
  • Partner with leadership to address complex safety challenges and provide expert guidance
  • Influence site leadership on safety policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Coach and mentor field teams and junior safety staff on hazard identification and prevention

What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

$86,098.00 - $124,841.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
