Hubscale is hiring an experienced production-focused engineer to own releases, monitoring, and run costs in a small, fast-moving team. This IC role supports an enterprise launch, with remote work in the US and quarterly travel to Austin.

You'll design on-call, build observability with Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus, run Kubernetes and Postgres, and push infrastructure as code while leveraging AI agents in deployment.

Qualifikationen

An Austin AI company is turning research into its first commercial product. The team is small, the problem is hard, and reliability is the promise.

About the role

This is an experienced individual contributor seat, and it’s one of the first two hires the team wants in ahead of the enterprise launch. You'll own how releases ship, how production is watched, and what it costs to run.

What you’ll do

• Ship releases quickly without breaking quality
• Build observability across the stack with Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus
• Run production on Kubernetes and Postgres, and keep cloud costs efficient
• Design the on call model, with real input on how it works
• Raise the bar on infrastructure as code
• Use AI agents in scripting and deployment, which is how the team already works
• Work with engineers on production readiness

What we’re looking for

• You’ve run production through real incidents and learned from each
• Hands on Kubernetes and a major public cloud
• Observability experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus or similar
• Comfortable scripting and automating, and using AI tools in your daily work
• Comfortable with startup pace, and with guiding others without a formal title

Nice to have

• Startup experience, or experience in regulated environments with privacy and compliance needs
• A strong point of view on infrastructure as code
