Job summary

PrizePicks is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure as we scale. You will lead incident response, monitor systems, and mentor other engineers in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, observability, and security, with a focus on building resilient systems across AWS/Azure/GCP and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a reliability-focused engineer in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of tooling and application development in these areas: cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC (Terraform, Crossplane), languages (Python, Ruby, Go).
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in Kubernetes at scale.
• Experience implementing monitoring with Grafana, New Relic, or Datadog.
• Experience debugging live, production issues and implementing reliability principles.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. We are passionate about delivering cutting-edge solutions and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure as we continue to scale and expand our operations.

What you’ll do:

• Design, implement, maintain, and monitor reliable production systems at scale.

What you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a reliability-focused engineer in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of tooling and application development in these areas:
• Cloud computing such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Infrastructure as code tools such as terraform or crossplane.
• Developing applications in languages such as python, ruby, or go.
• Deploying and supporting applications in Kubernetes at scale.
• Implementing monitoring in tools like grafana, new relic, or datadog.
• Experience debugging live, critical production issues.
• Familiarity with reliability principles, such as resilient systems, application and supply chain security, and SLO governance.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse engineering teams.

Where you’ll live:

The typical salary range for this position is $120,000 to $175,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges.
