Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the FedNow program. You will operate production environments, design monitoring tooling, and enhance automation across a distributed platform.

Ideal candidates have AWS, CI/CD, IaC, Linux, and container orchestration experience, with strong scripting in Python/Go/Java and a passion for reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in AWS environments and services.
• Strong scripting or programming in Python/Java/Go.
• CI/CD and infrastructure as code (IaC) expertise.
• Hands-on Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with Docker, ECR and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Familiarity with observability tools and dashboards.
• Ability to design, implement and run automated tooling.

Responsibilities

• Operate the production environment for the FedNow program.
• Architect and implement monitoring and tooling for capacity planning and scaling.
• Support CI/CD and IaC pipelines; improve reliability.
• Manage resiliency measures, DR and business continuity testing.
• Maintain ITIL processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to automate across the platform.
