Amazon Ads PubTech is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of high-throughput PubTech services. You will design automation, self-healing systems, and monitoring to improve latency, availability, and operator experience at scale.

This role emphasizes ownership of SLOs and incident response in a fast-paced ad tech environment. The role requires deep software engineering skills across Python/Go/Java, Linux/Unix expertise, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, and performance of PubTech services end-to-end, including SLO/SLA definition and operational roadmap.
• Design and build automation frameworks, tooling, and self-healing mechanisms in Python/Java/Go to reduce operational toil.
• Lead root-cause analyses for high-severity incidents across the ad-serving pipeline and implement durable fixes.
• Design and implement scalable monitoring, telemetry, and diagnostic solutions for distributed systems with real-time latency constraints.
• Define operational readiness reviews for new services and features, embedding reliability and observability standards.
• Partner with software teams to build durable runbooks and knowledge bases.
• Mentor engineers, including senior ICs, through design reviews and coaching.
