Job summary

Hyperbolic Labs in San Francisco is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our Open-Access AI Cloud. As a core part of aggregating global GPU resources, you will define SLOs, monitor systems, and implement robust incident response to keep our platform running 24/7.

You will collaborate with engineering to improve resilience, implement secure deployments, and advance tenancy isolation and secret management.

Qualifications

• SRE with proven experience defining, monitoring, and maintaining SLOs and SLAs.
• Experience with capacity forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
• Proven incident response experience with on-call rotations and post-mortems.
• Expertise in deployment strategies: progressive rollouts, canaries, feature flags, automated rollbacks.
• Proficient with observability: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong security hardening knowledge for multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Secrets management and KMS, certificate handling, and credential rotation.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 and cloud security best practices.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving for distributed systems.
• Automation mindset: IaC, config management, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain SLOs/SLAs for production systems.
• Define and enforce capacity plans across a distributed GPU network.
• Lead incident response, on-call rotations, and post-mortems.
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and visibility tooling.
• Implement secure rollout and rollback mechanisms.
• Improve system resilience in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Ensure tenant isolation and security hardening.
• Manage secrets and KMS, with secure credential rotation.
• Support compliance with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 in cloud platforms.
• Drive automation through infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD.
