Job summary

You will own the reliability and operational performance of large-scale distributed systems and data infrastructure, focusing on streaming and Kubernetes workloads, with repeatable, version-controlled practices to maintain high availability as usage grows.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with Kafka or Kafka-compatible streaming platforms such as Redpanda in production.
• Proficient with Terraform and Kubernetes.

Job description

• You will own the reliability and operational performance of large-scale distributed systems and data infrastructure.
• You will strengthen production operations of streaming and Kubernetes workloads while ensuring changes are managed through repeatable, version-controlled practices.

Your Impact:

• You will enable critical product initiatives to launch on time by delivering reliable streaming and data infrastructure.
• You will maintain 99.9% availability for critical data infrastructure as usage grows.
• You will keep operational maintenance below 20% of team capacity through automation and actionable alerts.

Requirements:

• You have demonstrated experience operating large-scale distributed systems and scalable data processing infrastructure in production.
• You have operated Kafka or Kafka-compatible streaming platforms such as Redpanda in production.
• You have provisioned and managed production infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• You have built reusable infrastructure modules, self-service capabilities, and CI/CD workflows.
• You have experience with Apache Flink, AWS Aurora/RDS, and production-quality code in Java or Go.
