Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Electronic Trading (ET) team. You will own SLOs, drive reliability, and build scalable, high-performance FX trading platform services.

The role emphasizes observability, automation, and collaboration with development teams to improve release velocity and platform resilience across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with programming languages such as: Java, C#, Python.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in Observability practices with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Hands on Experience with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the systems you support.
• Continuously measure and improve availability, and overall system health.
• Develop automation to scale systems sustainably and prevent or mitigate service issues.
• Partner with development teams to enhance reliability, observability, and release velocity.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, post-incident reviews, and root-cause analysis.
• Promote strong engineering practices to help build, deploy, and operate high-performance services.
• Act as a key enabler for Cloud migration, working with operations and engineering teams from project inception through to operational readiness.
• Conduct architectural reviews, support operational acceptance testing, and configure Datadog dashboards and metrics.
