Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is hiring a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to own SLOs/SLIs for restaurant tech, build observability infra, and lead post-incident reviews. You will shape scalable AWS-based cloud architectures and manage Kubernetes edge deployments across restaurant locations.

Strong scripting and IaC skills are essential. You will also design serverless solutions, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with security teams to ensure secure-by-design practices across cloud and edge

Qualifications

• 6+ years in IT infrastructure with focus on site reliability engineering, cloud architecture, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, IAM, RDS, S3.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise including edge/distributed deployments.
• Proven ability to build internal tooling and API integrations.
• Experience defining and operating against SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.

Responsibilities

• Define and own SLOs and SLIs for restaurant technology systems and use error budgets to balance reliability with velocity.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms with meaningful signals.
• Lead blameless post-incident reviews and drive root cause analysis with permanent corrective actions.
• Identify reliability risks across the stack before incidents occur.
• Establish and track reliability metrics and report system health to engineering leadership.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures on AWS with Azure knowledge.
• Architect and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes including edge deployments.
• Design and implement serverless and container-based solutions (Fargate, etc.).
• Develop and maintain IaC with Terraform.
• Own architecture across cloud, edge, networking, and device management.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and internal tooling; automate repetitive work.
• Lead incident response for restaurant tech with on-call coverage.
• Drive MTTR reduction through better tooling and runbooks.
