Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment.

You will build IaC with Terraform, manage Docker/Kubernetes stacks, optimize CI/CD with GitLab, and ensure security, cost efficiency, and reliable operations across AWS services. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS services experience (EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Kinesis, MSK).
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Docker experience including base image creation and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Strong scripting/programming in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience (setup, scaling, replication).
• Exposure to streaming architectures (Kinesis, Kafka, MSK).
• Experience supporting React-based applications from a DevOps perspective.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with scalability and security in mind.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Build and optimize Docker images and containerized stacks.
• Orchestrate Kubernetes EKS clusters for production and staging.
• Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab for fast deployments.
• Ensure reliable MCP server operations and monitoring.
• Automate tasks using Python/JavaScript.
• Provide containerized environments for full-stack teams (React, Node.js).
• Manage and optimize SQL/PostgreSQL databases for performance and security.
• Integrate AWS streaming services (Kinesis, MSK, Kafka) for real-time pipelines.
• Implement container image security scanning governance and lifecycle management.
• Monitor performance, availability, and cost; drive improvements.
• Ensure security/governance compliance across cloud and database layers.
• Collaborate with developers/architects to improve delivery scalability.
