Job summary

Quant is hiring a Senior SRE to own the end-to-end reliability of our production environment on a rotating 24/7 shift in the United States. You will manage OP-stack services, a private Hyperledger Besu L1, Paladin nodes, and related components, reporting to the Platform Reliability technical lead in a US-based team with no offshore handoffs.

You will drive incident response, improve observability and SLOs, mentor junior SREs, and collaborate on security-and-availability events with Security

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps or production engineering.
• Strong cloud, infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling experience.
• Experience operating blockchain/DLT infrastructure is a strong advantage (node operations, consensus, settlement).
• Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift schedule.
• Immediate right to work in the United States (not eligible for sponsorship).

Responsibilities

Job description

Quant builds interoperability and programmable payment infrastructure for banks, central banks and financial institutions. Our US delivery team runs mission-critical, distributed-ledger infrastructure for one of the largest payments organizations in the United States. We’re hiring the engineers who keep it running, around the clock.

The role

Each shift has a Senior SRE as its senior technical anchor. You’ll own the end-to-end reliability of our production environment while you’re on shift. That environment includes OP-stack services, a private Hyperledger Besu L1, Paladin nodes, the Overledger Gateway, the Audit Store and the Settlement Bridge. You’ll report to the Platform Reliability Technical Lead and work as part of a fully US-based team. There is no offshore handoff anywhere in the incident path.

What you’ll do

• Act as the senior technical escalation point for your shift.
• Own observability, SLO instrumentation and error-budget tracking for your assigned production components.
• Lead incident response on shift, and drive post-incident hardening so issues don’t recur.
• Join joint bridges with Security Operations on combined security-and-availability events.
• Mentor SREs on your shift, and set the standard for runbook discipline and clean shift handovers.

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps or production engineering.
• Strong cloud, infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling experience.
• Experience operating blockchain/DLT infrastructure is a strong advantage. That covers node operations, consensus and settlement systems.
• Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift schedule.

• Availability against SLOs.
• Incident recurrence rate.
• Quality of handovers between shifts.

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: $135,000 - $175,000, depending on experience and skills.
• Annual Discretionary Company Bonus
• This role is overtime-eligible.

• PTO of up to 18 days per annum.
