Job summary

Litera is seeking a Senior Reliability Automation Engineer to shape the future of legal technology. This hybrid role sits in Raleigh, NC or Denver, CO and involves building automation to improve production reliability across cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

You will lead diagnostics, incident response, and observability enhancements, partnering with global teams to drive scalable, resilient systems and leverage AI-enabled tools for smarter troubleshooting and workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Software Engineering, Test Automation, SRE, or related technical field.
• Proficient in Python, PowerShell, TypeScript/JavaScript/Java/C#, or similar languages.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues in large-scale environments.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and remediation implementations.
• Experience building automation tools, reliability tooling, or engineering platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation in AWS/Azure environments.

Job Description: Join Litera as a Senior Reliability Automation Engineer and play a role in shaping the future of legal technology. You’ll work in a hybrid environment, primarily in Denver, CO or Raleigh, NC, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve the stability, scalability, and reliability of our production platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build automation solutions that reduce manual operational work and enhance the scalability, reliability, and consistency of production environments.
• Develop intelligent diagnostics, remediation workflows, and self‑service tools that enable Engineering and Support teams to resolve issues faster.
• Strengthen incident response by investigating complex production issues, identifying root causes, and driving long‑term reliability improvements.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and telemetry to improve visibility into system health, performance, and operational risk.
• Partner with Engineering teams to improve observability standards, operational readiness, platform stability, and production support practices.
• Support performance and scalability initiatives by identifying degradation trends, diagnosing bottlenecks, and recommending optimization strategies.
• Build and integrate reliability automation across AWS, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and cloud‑native platform environments.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve troubleshooting, knowledge management, operational workflows, and engineering efficiency.

Qualifications (Must‑Haves)

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Test Automation, Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Performance Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong software development experience using Python, PowerShell, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues in large‑scale, distributed, or SaaS environments.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing long‑term remediation solutions.
• Experience building automation tools, operational workflows, reliability tooling, or engineering platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release processes, and AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms in production environments.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, Azure Monitor, or Amazon CloudWatch.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and cloud‑native reliability practices.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted engineering tools, automation frameworks, or intelligent troubleshooting workflows.
