Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Construction Site Safety Officer to ensure safety and regulatory compliance on our job sites. You will implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, train workers, and promote a culture of safety across projects.

Applicants should have 10+ years of combined field experience with 5 years in safety leadership, OSHA 30 or EM385-1-1 certification, and strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1926.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience with 5 years in safety supervision.
• Must currently hold OSHA 30 or EM385-1-1 40 certificates.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
• Strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1926 and EM-385-1-1.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect jobsite for safety violations and document findings.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and inspections per safety manual.
• Prepare safety reports and coordinate with corporate safety manager.
• Train site workers and provide daily safety briefings.
• Support project managers and subcontractors to ensure safe practices.
