Job summary

Merck is seeking an experienced clinical operations leader to manage country/cluster monitoring resources and CRA teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables while meeting regulatory requirements. The role partners with CRD, TA Directors and vendors to strategically grow investigator networks and site capabilities across the territory.

In this leadership position you will oversee CRA managers, drive performance, and recruit top talent, contributing to the global clinical development program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience within Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in clinical trial organization.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a functional management position.

Responsibilities

• Manage country/cluster monitoring resource management and CRA workload.
• Oversee CRA managers, performance evaluations and hiring efforts.
• Collaborate with internal country TA Directors, CRD and vendors on territory growth.
• Collaborate externally with investigators, regulators and pharma industry.
• Oversee local vendors, ensure consistency and compliance within monitoring functions.
• Develop monitoring resourcing strategies with vendors and CRDs.
• Position CRAs for maximum efficacy across projects and sites.
• Liaise with GCTO leadership and HQ teams on strategic initiatives.
• Be part of the local Leadership Team and support cross-functional priorities.
