Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks an experienced clinical operations leader to join the Global Clinical Trial Operations group in the United States. This role oversees country/cluster monitoring resources, CRA workloads, and ensures high quality deliverables across projects.

It requires strong people leadership, strategic oversight, and collaboration with regulators and vendors. The position reports to the CRD/Region Head and is a vital part of the local leadership team for GCTO, driving study performance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience within Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in clinical trial organization.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a functional management position.
• Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor country/cluster monitoring resource management and CRA workload across projects.
• Manage CRA managers and CRA performance, conduct evaluations, and support recruiting.
• Collaborate with Country TA Directors, CRD, and vendors to build territory and investigator networks.
• Oversee local vendors and ensure quality and compliance in monitoring functions.
