Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on a major civil engineering package as part of a UK critical infrastructure project. You will lead the day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are met while coordinating labour, plant and materials.

You will work with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams to resolve delivery challenges, chair coordination meetings and maintain accurate reporting and records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, reinforced concrete, drainage, utilities, structures, or highways.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors within live construction environments.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
• Understanding of construction health and safety legislation and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site activities across a substantial civils package.
• Drive health, safety, and environmental culture with zero compromise.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works align with the programme.
• Ensure compliance with engineering specs, quality standards, and inspections.
• Plan and manage labour, plant, and materials resources.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams to resolve delivery challenges.
• Chair site coordination meetings and maintain stakeholder communications.
• Monitor progress and implement recovery plans where needed.
• Produce and maintain site records, permits, and reporting documentation.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practice.
