Position will supervise Construction Manager, Project Superintendents, Craft Superintendent, General Foreman, and Foreman positions .
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management
Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a Construction Manager role. Must be able to effectively manage projects that range in varying size and complexity. Must be able to manage projects with a direct hire scope of 5 00MM – 2billion manhours . Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance. Must have sound knowledge of cost and schedule adherence. Additionally, you must possess the skills to employ tact, diplomacy and influence.
M ust possess the required skills to understand and manage the inter-working relationships between various craft trades including ( sub- contractors, and the ability to anticipate and implement corrective actions to limit potential labor-related disputes.
Abilitytoread,analyze and interpretengineeringdesigndrawings, technicalprocedures and specifications, governmentregulations, business correspondence and manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Abilitytocommunicatedirectionseffectively verbally to craft supervisors and respond to questions from clients, managers, and fellow workers.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Conduct work in operating facilities and/or construction sites. This requires the ability to hear , as well as the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus . Lifting to 50 pounds may be required .
The normal work environment will be a field office with moderate noise . May visit or be assigned to an operating plant and reside in an office on-site for the duration of a project . This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, work near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.
