Job summary

Variyas Global Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Site Development team in Texas.

The role focuses on civil engineering design, site development, and construction plan preparation, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and H&H. Ideal candidate leads engineering projects, collaborates with clients and consultants, and contributes to diverse public and private site development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Texas PE license.
• Minimum 4 years in civil engineering site development.
• Minimum 3 years using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and civil design principles.
• Experience with hydrology and hydraulics (H&H).
• Familiarity with local permitting and regulatory standards.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering construction plans, technical reports, and studies for site development projects.
• Develop detailed engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Manage project deliverables, schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate and oversee CAD designers, junior engineers, and external consultants.
• Review environmental, geotechnical, traffic, and other technical reports to support design.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage construction administration activities, including submittals, RFIs, site visits, and field problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and QA/QC procedures.
• Support permitting activities and coordinate with jurisdictions (City of Houston, Harris County, Fort Bend County, TxDOT).
• Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and business development.
