Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Senior SIT Engineer to lead system integration testing for firmware, embedded hardware, and backend software in Solon, Ohio. You will drive end-to-end SIT activities, ensure quality-first practices, and mentor engineers across the SDLC.

The role requires deep experience in embedded systems, hardware‑software integration, and distributed systems testing, with strong communication to stakeholders and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in System Integration Testing, testing firmware and hardware-based systems.
• 10+ years of experience in System Integration Testing and quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware-software integration.
• Experience testing complex, distributed systems with devices, firmware, and backend services.
• Knowledge of SDLC, SIT processes, and QA best practices.
• Experience in Agile and/or DevOps environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead & execute system integration testing for firmware, embedded systems, hardware components, and backend software.
• Ensure quality-first practices across all SDLC phases.
• Develop and maintain system-level test strategies, plans, cases, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Validate firmware and hardware interoperability with applications and data pipelines.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation across hardware-firmware-software boundaries.
• Promote continuous SIT improvements and automation across teams.
• Mentor junior and midlevel SIT engineers on testing best practices.
• Communicate complex technical topics to engineers, product owners, and customers.
