Job summary

Woven by Toyota in Ann Arbor seeks a Senior Simulation Engineer to design and integrate high‑performance simulation engines and client APIs in Rust or C++, with Python involvement. You will build portable, modular simulation software to support Toyota programs across platforms.

You will mentor developers, contribute to roadmaps, and partner with ADAS teams to improve validation. 5+ years of experience and a track record of delivering efficient simulation solutions are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong programming skills in Rust or C++, and Python.
• Ability to design with user and simulator developer perspectives.
• Passion for solving complex problems and learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Architect and extend core simulation technologies (e.g. world engine, interfaces, scheduler, agent frameworks).
• Drive integration of core simulation technologies into solutions or workflows, meeting end-user requirements.
• Analyze simulation results to identify gaps between simulated and real-world performance.
• Partner with ADAS autonomy, integration, and release teams to improve validation of ADAS software.
• Help set the team roadmap to support growing ADAS customers and data sources.
• Demonstrate good design practices; align with stakeholders before/during/after implementation.
• Propose and advocate for modern technologies and methodologies that drive innovation and performance.
