Responsibilities
- Leverage simulation tools, mainly Siemens Process Simulate to support digital twin and smart factory initiatives.
- Perform part and product flow analysis.
- Produce 2D/3D CAD models, as needed.
- Produce cycle times and sequences of operation.
- Perform ergonomic analysis.
- Perform Robot Path simulation.
- Analyze shop needs; recommend process efficiency methods.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure process feasibility and scalability.
- Conduct "what‑if" analyses to assess the impact of design changes, resource allocation, or production scenarios.
- Generate reports, visualizations, and recommendations for leadership decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, reducing cycle times, eliminating bottlenecks, and enhancing throughput.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Extensive experience with Siemens Process Simulate software.
- 3D Modeling software experience; Siemens NX/Sketchup.
- Experience in digital twin development and Industry 4.0 applications.
- Experience with integrated systems engineering utilizing a broad range of products manufactured by the automated system.
- Understanding of controls hardware and software best practices.
- Understanding of safety protocol and best practices as related to automation.
- Experience troubleshooting different component OEM's and applications.
- Experience in Industry 4.0 applications.
- Programming/scripting knowledge (Python, VBA, C++, etc.) for simulation automation.
- Prior exposure to DoD, FAA, or EASA regulatory environments preferred.
- Project management or leadership experience in simulation‑driven initiatives.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years' experience in System Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Related Discipline.
- Complex manufacturing process understanding.
- Candidate should be self‑starter and able to work with minimal direction.
- Excellent judgment and professional maturity.
- Expert ability to craft clear communications.
- The ability to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance.
