Job summary

SoftServe seeks an experienced professional to design and develop advanced simulation solutions for industrial systems. You will leverage Digital Twins, Industrial Metaverse tech, and modern platforms to deliver data-driven insights and support decision-making.

Responsibilities include building Digital Twin models, running experimentations, and integrating with real-time data sources. Strong Python skills and knowledge of DES/ABM are essential, along with effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing simulation models with DES platforms.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, CS, Physics or related field.
• Hands-on Python with libraries such as SimPy, PySim, Simulus, MESA or AgentPy.
• Experience designing simulation experiments, what-if analyses, and optimization scenarios.
• Knowledge of cuOpt, Gurobi or CPLEX optimization tools.
• Understanding of Digital Twins, Industrial Metaverse concepts and simulation-driven decisions.
• Experience integrating models with operational or real-time data sources.
• Strong communication and ability to present complex concepts in English.

About The Role

In this role, you will contribute to designing and developing advanced simulation solutions that help organizations optimize complex industrial systems and operations. Working with Digital Twins, Industrial Metaverse technologies, and modern simulation platforms, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver data-driven insights, evaluate operational scenarios, and enable more informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate simulation models using discrete event simulation and agent-based modeling techniques
• Build Digital Twin solutions to simulate, analyze, and optimize industrial processes and operational workflows
• Conduct simulation experiments, what-if analyses, and optimization studies to support business and engineering decisions
• Integrate simulation models with operational and real-time data sources to enable adaptive and data-driven solutions
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into simulation-based solutions
• Apply mathematical optimization techniques to improve system performance, efficiency, and resource utilization
• Explore and adopt emerging technologies such as Digital Twins, Industrial Metaverse, AI/ML, and NVIDIA Omniverse
• Present simulation results and technical recommendations to technical and business stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing simulation models using discrete event simulation platforms such as AnyLogic or FlexSim
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with simulation development in Python using libraries such as SimPy, PySim, Simulus, MESA, or AgentPy
• Experience designing simulation experiments, what-if analyses, and optimization scenarios
• Practical knowledge of mathematical optimization tools such as cuOpt, Gurobi, or CPLEX
• Understanding of Digital Twins, Industrial Metaverse concepts, and simulation-driven decision support
• Experience integrating simulation models with operational or real-time data sources
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Upper-intermediate or higher level of English
