Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. The role focuses on data collection, hardware characterization, and collaboration with customers to resolve engineering issues.

You will drive SIMS-based characterization, develop SOPs, and work with cross-functional teams on experimental design and process improvements to improve yield and device performance.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a related engineering discipline is required.
• Hands-on experience with ion beam techniques and metrology.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills for complex materials data.

Responsibilities

• Characterize dopant profiles and implant performance using data collection and analysis.
• Lead SIMS lab activities and balance output with cycle time to meet requirements.
• Develop SOPs for tool operation and performance tracking to accelerate velocity.
• Collaborate on DOE-based experimental design and root-cause analysis.
• Provide consultation and training to internal and external customers.
