Job summary

1NCE in Cologne seeks a Senior SIM Expert to lead SIM/eSIM parametrization, lifecycle ownership and vendor coordination. You will document processes and contribute to SIM/OTA development projects to ensure seamless device-network interaction.

The role requires ~5 years in telecom-related engineering, strong troubleshooting skills with SIM/OTA systems, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset. Hybrid work is available with a modern office in Cologne.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or related field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role (Engineering or Roaming).
• Strong administrative and IT abilities with telecom industry background.
• SIM troubleshooting including SIM/Wireshark/network traces, provisioning SIMs, and IMSI changes.
• eSIM Remote SIM provisioning per GSMA SGP 01/02 standards.
• Multi-IMSI applications and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• SIM/eSIM profile management per GSMA/3GPP specs to ensure device-network interaction.
• Oversee the entire SIM lifecycle from requirements to operations.
• Coordinate with SIM/OTA vendors and standardize procedures across partners.
• Document technical processes for consistency and transparency.
• Contribute to development projects connected to SIM/OTA functionality.
• Manage SIM customization, upkeep, and reprogramming for operations.
