Job summary

Semtech Corporation in San Diego, CA seeks a Validation Engineer to perform pre- and post-silicon validation of mixed-signal ICs. You will develop test plans, run lab measurements, and automate validation with scripts, interfacing with design and applications teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware and software validation of semiconductors or similar.
• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Strong analytical, synthesis and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments and measurement methods.
• Proficiency in C/C++, scripting languages (Python), SW development, embedded systems.
• Experience with standard hardware protocols (I2C, SPI, MIPI, JTAG, PCIe).
• Willing to work onsite in San Diego, California.

Responsibilities

• Validate pre-silicon and post-silicon hardware and software/firmware.
• Define and operate FPGA prototyping platforms for pre-silicon emulation and validation.
• Lead silicon validation test plans and lab setups; drive bring-up and debug.
• Develop tests and scripts to automate validation; enable data analysis.
• Characterize analog/mixed-signal performance and report findings.
• Coordinate with design, verification, and cross-functional teams.
