Atom Computing, Inc. is seeking a Senior Silicon Systems Engineer to bridge custom silicon and hardware integration across our research and product development programs.

You will define system requirements, architecture, and verification plans for chips, PCBs, and controller hardware, coordinating with ASIC designers and physics/engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable quantum computing hardware. This role emphasizes traceability, risk management, and pre/post-silicon IVV, with

Qualifications

• BS or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in systems engineering for multidisciplinary R&D or production.
• Translate research goals into system requirements.
• Lead architecture, interfaces, and V&V across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document system architecture and interfaces.
• Lead chip-level specs with ASIC designers for silicon–PCB–controller trade-offs.
• Manage requirements, traceability, and change control.
• Plan IV&V activities and link results to system requirements.
• Collaborate across Theory, Quantum Engineering, Hardware, Software, and Optical teams.
• Support government program reviews and milestone reporting.
