Atom Computing is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the control-system hardware for our quantum computer. You will craft high-level architectures for instrument boards, select FPGA/control approaches, and shape power, clocking, and interconnect strategies.

With 10+ years in board-level analog/digital design and experience in high pin count ICs, you will mentor a growing team, collaborate with quantum engineers, and drive bring-up and characterization across multiple projects in a

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of board-level analog/digital design experience.
• Experience with high pin count ICs (FPGAs/ processors) and high-speed interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive high level architectures for instruments with PCBAs and FPFA/control selections.
• Define high-speed mixed-signal front ends, DAC/ADC choices, noise and phase-noise requirements.
• Lead and mentor the hardware team through design reviews, prototyping, bring-up, and characterization.
• Collaborate with quantum engineers to translate system needs into hardware requirements.
