Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Silicon Product Definition Engineer to turn silicon data into decisions that boost performance, power efficiency, yield, and quality. You will define configurations, identify constraints, and drive optimization from bring-up through production with AI-enabled workflows.

The role requires strong silicon experience, programming skills, and the ability to collaborate across architecture, design, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust productized solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of experience in silicon product definition, post-silicon characterization, product engineering, or performance and power analysis for GPUs/SoCs.
• Hands-on silicon bring-up and power/performance optimization experience.
• Strong programming and data-analysis skills with Python and at least one of Perl, JMP, SQL; solid statistics knowledge.
• Solid foundation in digital design, circuit analysis, computer architecture, and transistor physics.
• Knowledge of firmware/BIOS/drivers/OS behavior and software impacting silicon performance.
• Ability to drive ambiguous technical issues to root-cause closure with global teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own product-definition analysis across performance, power, yield, and quality using large silicon datasets.
• Drive product configurations by isolating frequency-power and thermal constraints; translate into silicon/firmware/BIOS/driver/platform changes.
• Build statistical models, automation, and visualization workflows to improve decision quality.
• Collaborate with Tools and Methodology teams to left-shift data modeling and testing procedures into future programs.
• Lead multi-functional root-cause closure with architecture, design, validation, software/firmware, applications, manufacturing, and operations.
• Evaluate performance-per-watt and process-variation trade-offs; drive productized fixes through validation.
• Translate complex signals into crisp, decision-ready options for executive leadership.
• Own BIOS-level VF settings across thermal, power, and frequency domains; drive fixes with cross-functional teams.
