Job summary

Samtec is seeking an experienced Signal Integrity Test Engineer to lead hands-on SI validation, root-cause analysis, and process improvements in a lab setting. You will mentor engineers, standardize test methods, and drive reliable measurement practices across programs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence project direction, ensure quality, and meet demanding timelines in a high-speed interconnect environment. A senior, hands-on role with profound technical ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Signal Integrity, including high-speed electrical test environments.
• Expert experience with SI instrumentation and test automation; standardizes methods across teams.
• Expertise applying DOE and statistical analysis to improve test confidence and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute hands-on SI validation and root-cause analysis activities in a lab environment, ensuring technical rigor and timely results.
• Standardize and enhance test methodologies, reporting practices, and measurement quality metrics across teams and projects.
• Drive innovation by continuously improving enterprise-wide measurement processes and advocating for best practices in lab testing.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, fostering a culture of learning, problem-solving, and technical excellence.
• Champion measurement-simulation correlation improvements, institutionalizing consistent and reliable testing standards.
• Approve major test plans and acceptance criteria, ensuring cross-lab repeatability and high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain traceability of equipment, setups, and data using approved systems to support project integrity and compliance.
• Author clear technical documentation and validation summaries for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to influence project direction, resolve technical challenges, and meet organizational goals.
