Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a Senior Sign Language Interpreter to coordinate interpreter scheduling and coverage, maintain records, and provide interpreting and transliterating services across the division. Under the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist, you will support professional development and ensure compliance with RID standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily schedules, communicating assignments, and mentoring interpreting interns.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and ASL or signed mode as per IEP requirements.
• Ability to coordinate and monitor interpreter schedules and coverage.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare routine reports.
• Knowledge of RID Code of Professional Conduct and Deaf culture.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate daily and long-term interpreter schedules and coverage.
• Communicate assignments and schedule changes to interpreters and staff.
• Maintain records of schedules, service requests, absences, and coverage changes.
• Provide interpreting/transliterating services as needed for meetings and professional development.
• Mentor interpreting interns and support professional development.
