Job summary

FTS International, LLC in Chantilly, VA seeks a Chief Architect Division Lead to steer next-generation SIGINT architecture concepts, advise government leadership, and shape acquisition strategies. You will evaluate options, balance performance with affordability, and communicate complex technical and programmatic issues to executive stakeholders.

The role requires extensive experience in SIGINT mission systems, satellite technology, and major system acquisitions, with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering.
• 10+ years of experience supporting SIGINT mission systems.
• 10+ years designing and developing satellite systems for military/defense operations.
• 8+ years in major system acquisition including budgeting.
• Ability to perform rigorous technical and cost/performance analyses and translate into recommendations.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community/DoW acquisition processes and budget considerations.
• Strong written/oral/briefing skills for executive audiences.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
• Knowledge of FAR and acquisition policies.

Responsibilities

• Advise SIGINT Chief Architect and government leadership on architecture concepts and strategies.
• Lead or support architecture trades evaluating mission performance, cost, schedule, risk, scalability, and affordability.
• Develop independent technical assessments and recommendations for portfolio decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and prototypes to advance mission capability while controlling cost and risk.
• Synthesize market research, analyses, and sources into actionable recommendations.
• Support development of acquisition documentation, SOWs, CDRLs, and related artifacts.
• Translate complex issues into clear executive-level recommendations and briefings.
• Develop executive briefings, decision papers, and strategic messaging for stakeholders.
• Interface with senior stakeholders across IC, DoW, acquisition organizations, and industry.
• Support communications that align portfolio priorities with acquisition strategies.
