Job summary

Inversion6 is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join a growing, client-facing team. The role blends onsite visits with remote support to secure and enhance client security environments through proactive management and hands-on implementation.

The successful candidate will design and maintain SIEM/SOAR platforms, onboard log sources, tune detections, and automate responses while collaborating with the 24x7 SOC to ensure strong security posture.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in security engineering roles.
• Proficient in managing SIEM and SOAR environments.
• Experience with common cybersecurity tools and cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot across IT and security domains.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain SIEM platforms for client monitoring and detection.
• Onboard and manage log sources including servers, endpoints, network devices, cloud platforms, and security tools.
• Develop, tune, and optimize correlation rules, detections, and alert logic to reduce false positives.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SOAR logic to increase automation.
• Investigate, validate, and escalate security alerts with SOC teams.
• Build dashboards and reports to show security posture and trends.
• Collaborate with clients to align SIEM use cases with business needs.
• Document SIEM architectures, data sources, and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to SOC analysts and engineers.
