Job summary

Swoop is expanding its mission to improve patient outcomes through a new sickle cell disease (SCD) community. You will launch and lead a visible, credible presence, shaping discussions and norms to reflect real-life SCD experiences while maintaining a safe, inclusive space for members and peers.

You will welcome new members, support ambassadors, and craft prompts and educational discussions that drive practical peer support and trusted information sharing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and managing online communities or patient communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to foster supportive experiences.
• Demonstrated empathy and ability to navigate sensitive conversations with care.

Responsibilities

• Launch and lead the sickle cell disease community from day one.
• Set tone for authentic, safe participation during early launch months.
• Shape discussions, norms, and member experiences reflecting real SCD realities.
• Welcome new members and foster participation in a welcoming environment.
• Support ambassadors and engaged members to strengthen trust and belonging.
• Create prompts, polls, Q&A, educational discussions, storytelling opportunities.
