Job summary

Swoop is seeking a results-driven Community Manager to launch and lead our new sickle cell disease community for US audiences. You will set the tone for authentic, inclusive dialogue, welcome new members, and shape topics that reflect real patient experiences.

Collaborate across Product, Content, Analytics, Marketing and Research to surface insights, moderate conversations, and drive engagement while maintaining safety and trust.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and managing online communities or patient support spaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with empathy and professionalism.
• Ability to facilitate authentic, safe conversations and moderation.
• Experience collaborating across Product, Content, Analytics, Marketing, and Community teams.

Responsibilities

• Launch and lead the sickle cell disease community from day one.
• Welcome and onboard members to foster belonging and participation.
• Moderate conversations to maintain a respectful, inclusive space.
• Create prompts, polls, and educational discussions to drive practical peer support.
• SURFACE member insights to product, editorial, marketing, and research teams.
