Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Short-Form Video Editor to own the end-to-end creation of brand video content. You will storyboard, edit, and publish across channels, shaping raw SME footage into engaging, platform-appropriate videos.

You will drive AI-assisted workflows, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and impact in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally with in-house or agency experience producing short-form social content for a brand.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form editing (15–90 second formats): hook design, pacing, storytelling in compressed formats, and platform-native style.
• Proficiency in professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve; After Effects for motion graphics).
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted video editing and production tools, and interest in keeping pace with how AI is changing the editing workflow.
• Working knowledge of AIO/GEO principles and how they intersect with social content strategy — or strong aptitude and interest in developing this.
• Motion graphics and animation skills: lower thirds, kinetic typography, simple data visualizations, branded templates.
• Content marketing sensibility: turning a brief into a short-form video concept and shot list without heavy hand-holding.
• Understanding of audio editing/sound design and caption/text-overlay design for sound-off viewing.
• Ability to manage multiple videos in production simultaneously and hit fast turnaround deadlines in a high-volume content environment.
• Experience translating technical or B2B subject matter into accessible, engaging content is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in film, media, design, or related field — or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of short-form video for brand channels from planning to publishing.
• Turn SME footage into tight, retention-optimized cuts native to each platform.
• Integrate AI-assisted editing, transcription, captioning, and repurposing tools.
• Ensure video content uses AI discovery best practices and metadata for surfaceability.
• Develop motion graphics, explainers, and branded templates to elevate content.
• Collaborate with marketing and exec teams to maintain on-brand creative across high volume output.
• Track engagement and iteratively optimize format and topic selection.
• Translate complex data/AI topics into human, shareable video content.
