Job summary

Proxify AB is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer for one of our clients in the United States. You will architect and scale Shopify Plus stores, using Shopify CLI, Liquid, and OS 2.0 templates, and build fast, accessible front-ends with React/TypeScript.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of web development, hands-on Shopify Storefront and Admin API experience, and a track record with headless architectures (Hydrogen/Remix/Next.js).

Qualifications

• 3+ years architecting and scaling Shopify Plus stores including theme development with Shopify CLI, Liquid and OS 2.0 JSON templates.
• 5+ years in core web development using JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and React.js.
• Expertise in building responsive, accessible UIs with minimal app code injections.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Storefront API and Admin API (GraphQL/REST).
• Headless e-commerce experience with Hydrogen/Remix/Next.js is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain pixel-perfect, mobile-first Shopify themes using modular Liquid components, custom sections, and metafields.
• Build custom Theme App Extensions and Shopify Functions to implement complex business logic while keeping the site lean.
• Audit and refactor front-end code to maintain high Core Web Vitals and fast checkout transitions.
• Connect Shopify storefronts to third-party APIs, ERP/CRM systems, and marketing platforms via webhooks and GraphQL middleware.
• Maintain clean GitHub workflows, staging previews, and safe production deployments.
