Honda of Oakland is seeking an experienced Main Shop Technician to join our service team and support efficient vehicle repair.

Ideal candidates will have ASE certification, 2+ years of technician experience, and proven ability to diagnose, repair and communicate while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity, steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer competencies.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs per repair order with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to test components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
