Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) seeks an experienced Shop Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles in our shop.

This hands-on role requires strong fundamentals and the ability to tackle complex diagnostics with minimal supervision while mentoring junior techs. You will diagnose systems, perform DOT-required servicing, and coordinate with the Shop Manager and field crews to prioritize repairs, ensuring safety and efficiency in a busy shop

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience servicing heavy construction equipment, trucks, or similar diesel/hydraulic machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
• Ability to read technical/service manuals and use diagnostic scan tools.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, trucks, etc.).
• Perform inspections and DOT-required servicing to minimize downtime.
• Coach and mentor entry-level and mid-level mechanics on diagnostic technique and shop safety.
• Coordinate with the Shop Manager and field crews to prioritize repairs based on project schedules.
