Job summary

Partner Equipment Sales is seeking an experienced Lead Shop Mechanic – Heavy trucks and equipment for our Hazleton, PA garage. You will lead hands‑on repair and refurbishment of fleet trucks and equipment, with welding/fabrication and leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, coordinating with fabrication to build truck bodies, and mentoring shop staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a garage environment.
• Knowledge of Trucks and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Welding experience – would be a plus.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented with a passion for quality and completion of projects given.
• Own tools required for automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Willingness to learn, take directions, and ask questions.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Repair and refurbish Fleet trucks and equipment for resale.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work with accuracy and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair both major and minor mechanical and electrical issues.
• Communicate with management regarding parts needs, repairs, and approvals.
• Develop and fabricate truck bodies, dump beds and other projects with Fabrication team.
• Manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization, quality, and timelines.
• Provide hands‑on support in fabrication and general shop duties as needed.
