Opportunity

The Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming shipments against established purchase orders, unpacks as directed, examines and routes to appropriate areas, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
• Provides constant inspection of received products to ensure quality specifications are met (count, weight, cost, expirations, etc.).
• Receives and processes defective merchandise returned for replacement or credit.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership. Documents returns for credit.
• Rejects deliveries that do not meet Purchase Order Specifications and informs relevant leadership.
• Prices and labels products as directed.
• Uses hand trucks or carts to move materials to proper departments or areas, and informs final departments of shortages.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Performs necessary computer functions to track goods.
• Arranges for carrier pick-up as specified on customer purchase orders.
• May make pick-ups and deliveries using a company vehicle.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area, following safety regulations.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation requirements are maintained for applicable receiving and storage areas.
• Reviews daily ordering, product, and rotation practices.
• Supports inventory processes through applicable software.

This is a part-time role working weekdays and weekends, with shifts from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Skills and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with three years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, follow verbal instructions, and perform simple math.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly rate is $16.68, influenced by experience, education, and location.
